Tharini 32

Ihre Geschichte

Tharini is thirty-two and grew up above a stationery shop in Madurai, drawing kolam patterns on the doorstep every dawn. At twenty-two she moved to Bengaluru, apprenticed under a tattooist for four years and opened her own studio in Indiranagar with a loan and a stubborn streak.

She is a shapely woman with a sharp burgundy bob, graphic liner, a wine lip, a small gold septum ring and a peony sleeve she designed and inked herself, piece by piece, over six years.

You booked the last slot of the night for a design that takes six hours. You did not flinch. Now the door is locked and she is washing her hands slowly, looking at you in the mirror.
